Job Description Summary
Durham University is seeking a talented Postdoctoral Research Associate in Archaeology to join an exciting interdisciplinary team working on the “Modelling the Black Death and Social Connectivity in Medieval England” project.
Responsibilities
- Conduct high-quality research into the archaeological record of medieval England to contribute to a computer model simulating the spread of the Black Death.
- Compile datasets on medieval society, topography, and land use in England under the guidance of the project’s Principal Investigator and Co-Investigators.
- Present research findings at conferences and workshops, and co-author publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Assist with developing research objectives, proposals, and identifying new areas for future research collaborations.
- Contribute to a collegial and inclusive working environment that fosters diversity and respect.
