Job Description Summary
The University of Leeds is seeking an enthusiastic researcher with expertise in coating tribology for electric vehicles to join the Institute of Functional Surfaces (iFS) and work on the Excellence in Conceptual Evolution of Electric Drives (ExCEED) project.
Responsibilities
- Lead experimental investigations on coating tribology for electric vehicle transmission systems
- Investigate the compatibility of lubricants and coatings at lab scale and support full-scale component testing
- Analyze failure mechanisms using advanced surface analysis techniques
- Collaborate with researchers to develop learning materials and disseminate project findings
- Attend and contribute to regular project meetings and data management planning
