Job Description Summary

The Clinical Trials Research Unit within the Leeds Institute of Clinical Trials Research is looking for a talented and dynamic Medical Statistician or Senior Medical Statistician to contribute to their internationally recognized research in clinical trials.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the statistical design and setup of research projects, including protocol development, case report form design, and database setup.
  • Prepare analysis plans and conduct appropriate statistical analyses using appropriate software.
  • Provide statistical monitoring, conduct interim analyses, and advise on trial-related issues such as recruitment and funding to independent data monitoring committees.
  • Determine appropriate randomization methods and assist in implementing randomization systems with quality assurance checks.
  • Provide ongoing statistical and general advice to trial coordination, programming, and clinical teams on various aspects of the research.
  • Present interim information and results at national and international conferences and research groups.
  • Collaborate with the project team to prepare high-quality manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.
  • Contribute to internal and external undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
