Job Description Summary

The University of Leeds is seeking an experienced Academic Development Consultant to lead the provision of effective leadership and digital capabilities for staff and researchers across the institution.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver professional development programs for academics, researchers, and professional staff on the effective use of technologies in teaching, learning, and research
  • Facilitate leadership development initiatives to promote local strategies for developing and embedding digital capabilities, working with Heads of Schools, Deans, and Departmental Directors
  • Deliver tailored provisions to Faculties and Schools to support organizational development and University priorities in using technologies for teaching, research, and professional services
  • Facilitate the creation and development of communities of practice across the institution
  • Manage accreditations and assessments for various awards
  • Contribute to the enhancement of OD&PL provisions by supporting good practices in e-learning, hybrid and blended learning, and digital capabilities
  • Represent OD&PL on relevant committees, working groups, and networks within and beyond the institution
  • Engage in continuous professional development to ensure research-informed and evidence-based practices
