Job Description Summary

The University of Leeds is seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join their Residential Services team as a Residence Service Supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional and engaging customer service for all inquiries, ensuring excellent care at all times
• Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and external contractors
• Investigate, resolve, and take ownership of maintenance tasks, keeping customers updated
• Conduct regular audits, resolve observations, and escalate issues as needed
• Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (ISO 9001) processes and procedures
• Assess the performance of external contractors based on Service Level Agreements
• Contribute to meeting monthly performance indicators, including fire/health and safety compliance, site maintenance, and student feedback
• Assist with opening/locking procedures, fire alarm responses, and water quality risk assessments
• Support the Residence Manager in staff induction and training
• Prepare and service bedrooms and common areas for conference guests, where applicable
• Maintain the cleanliness of the residence, both internally and externally
• Participate in site health and safety meetings and service meetings
• Ensure the security of the residence by conducting regular site checks and escalating concerns
• Work closely with the Residence Life Warden and Assistants, responding to incidents
• Undertake comparable tasks at other Residential Service sites as required
