Job Description Summary
The University of Leeds is seeking an experienced and customer-focused individual to join their Residential Services team as a Residence Service Supervisor.
Responsibilities
- Provide professional and engaging customer service for all inquiries, ensuring excellent care at all times
- Communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and external contractors
- Investigate, resolve, and take ownership of maintenance tasks, keeping customers updated
- Conduct regular audits, resolve observations, and escalate issues as needed
- Ensure adherence to Quality Management System (ISO 9001) processes and procedures
- Assess the performance of external contractors based on Service Level Agreements
- Contribute to meeting monthly performance indicators, including fire/health and safety compliance, site maintenance, and student feedback
- Assist with opening/locking procedures, fire alarm responses, and water quality risk assessments
- Support the Residence Manager in staff induction and training
- Prepare and service bedrooms and common areas for conference guests, where applicable
- Maintain the cleanliness of the residence, both internally and externally
- Participate in site health and safety meetings and service meetings
- Ensure the security of the residence by conducting regular site checks and escalating concerns
- Work closely with the Residence Life Warden and Assistants, responding to incidents
- Undertake comparable tasks at other Residential Service sites as required
