Job Description Summary of Sessional Lecturer – Accounting

The University of Derby is seeking a part-time Sessional Lecturer in Accounting to deliver high-quality online and on-campus lessons, assess assignments, and support adult learners in AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) courses.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging online and on-campus lessons for AAT courses
  • Assess and grade key assignments, providing constructive feedback
  • Support learners in understanding course content and requirements
  • Participate in the Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) team, standardizing work and preparing samples for moderation
  • Maintain accurate administrative records, including attendance and student progress
  • Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment for students
  • Comply with relevant policies, including health and safety, safeguarding, and equal opportunities
