Job Description Summary

Unipol Student Homes is seeking a skilled Finance Assistant to join their finance team and oversee the purchase ledger operations, ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, verify, code, and process supplier invoices and credit card statements in the accounting system
  • Obtain authorization for payments from appropriate departments, adhering to Unipol’s financial policies
  • Track outstanding invoices, proactively follow up on unsigned invoices, and escalate urgent demands
  • Prepare and process payment runs accurately and within agreed timelines
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice and payment queries, building positive relationships
  • Review vendor account balances and ensure vendor information is up-to-date
  • Support the development and improvement of purchase ledger processes, systems, and controls
  • Process monthly payments for properties Unipol manages on behalf of owners
  • Cover Finance Assistant – Cashbook duties when required
  • Provide reports and information for monitoring and auditing purposes
  • Respond to general finance queries via telephone, email, and web chat, delivering outstanding customer service
