Job Description Summary

The University of Leeds is seeking a passionate and innovative Lecturer in Teaching and Scholarship to support the Lifelong Learning Centre in transforming the educational experience of its students, ensuring they develop the knowledge and skills required to succeed and make a positive impact in the world.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver education at different levels on foundation and undergraduate taught courses, promoting student competencies related to inquiry and research.
  • Contribute to the planning, design, development, delivery, and review of learning units (modules, programs) within relevant subject areas.
  • Play an active role in the development and adoption of teaching and learning practices, emphasizing inclusion, technology-enhanced learning, active and authentic learning, and assessment.
  • Take a leading role in the design of interdisciplinary and flexible programs and curricula in line with the University’s strategic priorities.
  • Carry out scholarship of teaching and learning, inform ongoing innovative curriculum design and delivery, and contribute to the thinking and understanding of the sector.
  • Contribute to the production of high-quality and innovative learning materials and resources to support learning and teaching in the school and discipline(s).
