Job Description Summary
The University of Leeds is seeking an experienced and influential academic to join the School of Biomedical Sciences as an Associate Professor in Molecular & Cellular Cardiac Function. This role involves carrying out research, teaching, and management within the school, faculty, and university, contributing to academic leadership in the field of molecular and cellular aspects of heart function.
Responsibilities
- Pursue, lead, and develop the strategic direction of research, innovation, and impact, attracting research income on an individual and collaborative basis.
- Maintain a high-quality record of regular and original research publications of international standing.
- Promote the integration of your research area with other interests within and outside the School, Faculty, and University.
- Provide high-quality postgraduate supervision and attract research students to the University.
- Undertake research-led teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including module and program design, development, planning, and review.
- Contribute to the management and administrative processes and committee structures of the School, Faculty, and University.
- Manage or lead major initiatives, projects, and leadership roles to facilitate School, Faculty, or University performance or business.
