Job Description Summary
The University of Leeds is seeking a highly qualified Lecturer in Distributed Systems to join the School of Computing’s internationally renowned Distributed Computing Systems and System Engineering activity. This position offers an exceptional opportunity to pursue interdisciplinary research and contribute to teaching in a research-intensive Russell Group University.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality, research-led teaching, including assessments and examinations at various levels and study modes (on-campus, online, or off-site).
- Provide support, guidance, and timely feedback to students, act as a personal tutor, and resolve issues or refer to appropriate parties.
- Contribute to the development and delivery of modules within the School, including innovative educational approaches, module design, review, and quality assurance mechanisms.
- Develop and deliver a planned program of research and innovation in Distributed Systems with national and eventual international impact.
- Maintain a record of high-quality research outputs, including publications and conference presentations.
- Attract research funding individually and collaboratively to support your research plan.
- Contribute to research supervision and support for researchers.
- Contribute effectively to the administrative processes and committee structures of the School/Faculty.
- (For Grade 8) Develop and deliver modules and degree programs, participate in review and quality assurance, and take on leadership roles and initiatives.
